'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3 Spoilers: OITNB Third Season News, Teaser, Update, Spoiler, Cast; Release Date Tentative June 2015, Rumors say
Netflix has renewed Orange is a New Black for a third season.
Orange is a New Black is an American comedy-drama series, which revolves around Piper Chapman, a bisexual woman residing in New York City. Chapman was sentenced to one year and three months in a women's federal preison because of transferring a suitcase filled with drug money to her former girlfriend, Alex Vause, a known drug smuggler. While in prison, Piper soon becomes united with Alex.
Orange is a New Black Season 3 stars Louise Loobie Sampson as Piper Chapman, Laura Prepon as Alex Prepon, Michael Harney as Sam Healy, Kate Mulgrew as Galina "Red" Reznikov.
Other prominent members of the cast include Uzo Aduba as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" warren, Dabielle Brooks as Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson, Natasha Lyonne as Nicole "Nicky" Nichols, Taryn Manning as Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett, and Selenis Leyva as Gloiria Mendoza.
In Season 2, it is known that the prison guard Porstache Mendez will no longer be present in the third season.
More to that, Django Unchained star Marsha Blake will be a member of the cast together with Lori Petty. Blake will have a recurring role as a new correctional officer at Litchfield Penitentiary. What will be Blake's character impact to the inmates? Though there are no much details given about the character she plays, reports say that she will be great. Her credits on films and shows make her a great deal package for the series.
Petty has a cameo role in Season 2, in which she got along with Piper during the prisoner transfer. There is no news yet as to whether she will play a recurring or a guest-starring role.
Rumors say that Pablo Schreiber may not appear in the highly-anticipated season, which will leave the fans disappointed. Schreiber quashed this issue in Vulture. He indicated there that seeing as his character is not behind the bars. According to him, the amount of time given will be limited for the third season.
Orange is the New Black Season 3 is set to be directed by Michael Trim. Creator Jenji Kohan and Liz Friedman act as the executive producers of the series. It is produced by Neri Kyle Tannenbaum under the fusion of Titled Productions and Lionsgate Television.
As to the release date, there is no official announcement yet. If previous release dates are to be followed, Orange Is The New Black Season 3 will have its debut in June 2015 on Neflix.
