The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Will Teresa Giudice be able to make it this time?
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa and Joe Giudice pleaded guilty for several counts of mail and wire fraud and bankruptcy. On Oct. 1, the couple is expected to appear in Newark, New Jersey Court, and will be imprisoned by U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas.
This will surely be hard times for the duo as Teresa will be facing a recommended sentence of 27 months. Joe on the other hand, could stay longer, up to 46 months. Lawyer of the actress says that she should only get probation since Joe had taken most of the responsibility for the charges.
This is not the only trouble that Joe is preparing for. Aside from getting behind the bars, Joe could also be deported back to Italy since he has not claimed a U.S. citizenship. A reliable informant also revealed that the judge can make an example out of Teresa and send her to jail and serve time as opposed to a house arrest.
"Before Teresa is formally sentenced by the judge, she will meet with the United States Probation Department and a report will be prepared. The report will outline recommendations for sentencing for the judge to consider and one of those items will include if house arrest is suitable for Teresa," a source told Radar. Considering Teresa is the breadwinner, and she has four daughters, a house arrest would have been more preferable.
Joe has never been a US citizen, and his lawyer made it clear that the immigration won't be considering him to stay so he will be coming back to Italy. However, Teresa with her four daughters will be staying in the Unites States. She said that she has no further plan of leaving the country.
Although there had been rumors circulating for a long time about the couple's divorce, they have stayed together until they faced the court. Some allegations also came out that when Joe will be sentenced, it will be high time for Teresa to file a divorce.
Inspite of the ups and downs that surrounded their rocky marriage, the couple said that they stayed together with their kids from the last quite a few days before the shocking news came out. Last week, they even threw a party in Parsippany, New Jersey to celebrate their togetherness.
