Johnny Depp & Gwyneth Paltrow star in the new movie Mortdecai which is set to release to theaters on February 6, 2015. They have released new movie posters for the characters, which you can check out here.
The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Aubrey Plaza, Ewan McGregor and Olivia Munn in a story about art dealer Charles Mortdecai as he searches for a stolen painting that's reportedly linked to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
The Lionsgate film is scheduled to hit theaters on January 23, 2015. You can Watch the first trailer here.
Synopsis: Juggling some angry Russians, the British MI5, his impossibly leggy wife, and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part-time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
The film is directed by David Koepp, who wrote "Jurassic Park," "Carlito's Way," "Mission: Impossible," and a ton of other scripts, is directing. He worked with Johnny Depp on "Secret Window," which Koepp both wrote the screenplay for and directed. The script draws from "The Mortdecai Trilogy" by the late Kyril Bonfiglioli.
Principal photography and production began on October 21, 2013 in London.
Johnny Depp is also starring in the new movie Black Mass along with Adam Scott, Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Juno Temple, Jesse Plemons, Kevin Bacon, Sienna Miller and Peter Sarsgaard. Warner Bros. has set the release date for Black Mass to theaters on September 18, 2015.
The film Black Mass (script by Jim Sheridan, Jez Butterworth, and Russell Gewirtz) is based on the 2001 book Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob written by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill, and is said to be the "true story of Billy Bulger, Whitey Bulger, FBI agent John Connolly and the FBI's witness protection program that was created by J. Edgar Hoover."
