Who is Jared Emerson?
Jared Emerson
Jared Emerson is one of the artists on the popular Winter Jam tour in 2014. He doesn't sing, he doesn't write songs and he doesn't shred a mean guitar. So what does Jared Emerson do?
The 35-year-old has been painting professionally for over 15 years, using charcoals, oils, acrylics, graphite and other mixed mediums. But he's not your typical "you come in and sit very still for hours while he works" kind of painter. Since 2008, Jared has been creating what he calls, "visual worship," live and in on stages around the world. With live music being performed, he paints masterpieces with his bare hands. He has shared the stage with everyone from NewSong, Salvador and Don Felder to Javier Colon and Tenth Avenue North.
His art has sold for as much as $20,000 and has included portraits of Bill Haas, Bubby Watson, Edwin McCain, George Rogers, Jerry Rice, Larry Holmes, Tim Tebow and Willie Mays. Those who have purchased Jared’s work include Carrie Underwood, George Hincapie, Georgia Head Football Coach Mark Richt, Jeff Foxworthy, Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne and many corporate executives and collectors.
In 2013, Jared’s "Face of God" piece was featured on the hood of the #98 Sprint Cup car at NASCAR’s Talladega race in October. He was also featured on CBS Sports PGA special "GEICO presents Golf’s Best of 2013."
