'The Blacklist' Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: What Happened To 'Dr. James Covington'?
It has only been two weeks since the airing of the season 2 of "The Blacklist" but fans are offically hooked again.
"The Blacklist" aired another exciting episode entitled "Dr. James Covington," TV Fanatic reports.
Yahoo News reports, "The episode will focus on the black market of human organs and how Raymond 'Red' Reddington (James Spader) will tackle the dreaded new villain who is out to kill him."
Spoiler TV released the official synopsis: "When a body is found missing a heart, Keen and Ressler join forces with Samar Navabi to investigate Dr. Covington's operation; Red and an associate try to take advantage of an opportunity in Indonesia."
In "The Blacklist Episode 3," Red and Liz will deal a deranged doctor, who kills and harvest human organs. Will the duo catch Dr. Covington or will they become victims themselves?
The episode gives an intriguing complication in the character of Dr. Covington. According to TV Fanatic, Dr. Covington "bypass the wait lists and has been saving lives of both children and criminals."
According to International Business Times, the team began investigating the body of Paul Wyatt - a victim with his heart harvested right out of his body.
Red informed Liz that it's the work of Dr. James Covington - a surgeon who kills just to sell their organs in the black market." Things got more twisted when further investigation showed that Wyatt's heart was not stolen but instead was repossessed because he missed his monthly payment for it. It can't get any creepier than that!
On a personal level, Red has to deal with his own issues. Liz and Ressler found the secret operating room used by Dr. Covington but things got complicated when the doctor was found while he was operating on a boy. Dr. Covington did explain that while he admittedly killed criminals and used their organs, he did it to fund his operation and gave underprivileged children a fighting chance.
Given the circumstances, Liz decided to let the doctor finish the operation to save the life of the boy. But in the end, everybody finds out that Dr. Covington is connected to a business deal with the Indonesian.
