"House of Cards" Season 3 Premiere: Neflix's Political Drama Premieres in February 2015
Last February 4, 2014, Netflix has decided to keep the television series "House of Cards" for a third season. "House of Cards" is an American political drama web television series, which based on the novel written by Michael Dobbs. It is also an adaptation of BBC's mini-series of the same name.
According to Screenrant, the third season of "House of Cards" is expected to have a total of 13 episodes, just like the first two episodes of the series. Moreover, the renewal of the political series suggests that "House of Cards" has brought higher ratings to the company, not to mention the numerous nominations it has received from its first two seasons.
The political drama is set in the contemporary Washington D.C., and follows the story of Frank Underwood. Frank is a Democrat from South Carolina's 5th congressional district. After being passed over for appointment as Secretary of State, he begins an intricate plan to attain a position of power.
"House of Cards" Season 3 cast members include Kevin Spacey as Francis "Frank" Underwood, Robin Wright as Claire Underwood, Mahershala Ali as Remy Danton, Sebastian Arcelus as Lucas Goodwin, Rachel Brosnahan as Rachel Posner, Kristen Connolly as Christina Gallagher, Nathan Darrow as Edward Meechum, Michael Gill as Garrett Walker, Sakina Jaffrey as Linda Vasquez, Michael Kelly as Douglas "Doug" Stamper, Kate Mara as Zoe Barnes, and Gerald McRaney as Raymon Tusk, just to name a few.
"House of Cards" television series is developed and produced by Beau Willimon. According to Huffingtonpost, the Netflix's "House of Cards" creator tweeted that has also started on the next chapter of the story while the second season is ongoing.
The end of the second season shocked the viewers as Frank Underwood had finally completed his mission in his life. He became the president of the United States; however, he will be dealing with his hush-hush when the show returns in its third season. Meanwhile, the Russian punk band, Pussy Riot, will be part of "House of Cards" Season 3, according to a report in Airherald.
There is no official announcement regarding the release date of the political drama series. However, "House of Cards" Season 3 is set to debut its first episode in February 2015.
