Minecraft Vita Latest News, Updates, Release Date: Sale to start from 14th October
Sony has revealed the release date of Minecraft for the EU version. The sale will start from Tuesday 14th October for the Minecraft PlayStation Vita. The price of the game will be $19.99 The digital purchase version of the Vita will allow downloading the PS3 version for free with the same registered account while the PS4 update will cost around $5.
The retail Vita version allows the owner to get a voucher code number in the package, which can be used to access to the digital Vita and PS3 versions. With the code, the PS4 version is upgradable.
The game is developed by the 4J studios, which maintains the port of Markus Persson's indie game. At first, the release date was declared from the game platform in its official twitter page. The North American region release date has not been declared yet while the game code certification has passed tests for European region. The release date carries the confirmation that there is no backup plan to roll back the edition for further bug issue.
In September, Microsoft mentioned the plans regarding the game. The Company overtook the developer Mojang and Minecraft with a massive $2.5 billion payout. So the Mojang's founders Carl Manneh, Jackob Porser will not continue any further with the developer including Markus Persson.
Time will show whether the bold move from Microsoft was really worth $2.5 billion or not. Microsoft also added that the Company would not wipe out any version of the game from Sony platform. Sony has also agreed to the offer and has decided to keep all the versions available in the Sony platform.
The release of Minecraft was held back in 2009 and the game managed to grab a record of downloading 100 million copies for the PC version. Later, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions were introduced in 2012-13 session. And needless, to say they were a runaway success. The new version of the game has lot to offer with upgraded artificial intelligence and better graphics resolution.
Fans are understandably looking forward to the release with bated breath. They are eager to land their hands on the masterpiece and then play away!
