Michael Schumacher Latest Condition Updates: Michael's Son Mick Says his Father is in the Process of 'Waking up very Slowly' from Coma

According to the latest reports, Michael Schumacher is waking up very slowly from a medically induced coma after he suffered from severe head injuries from a skiing accident that happened last December. This is according to his son Mick who is well on his way to becoming quite the formula 1 champion himself. The 15 year old racing protégé provided French formula 1 commentator Jean Louis Moncet with the most recent update on Schumy's condition. "I saw his son and he told me that Schumi is waking up very slowly; very slowly," Moncet told Europe 1 radio.

The general mantra is that though things may be slow and the recovery arduous, Schumacher basically has his whole life in front of him to recovery because he is definitely not going back to Formula 1. The former Formula 1 champion is currently being cared for at his home in Switzerland following six months of treatment in France and a few months at the Lausanne treatment facility just a 24 miles from his residence. I would say that Schumacher is in good hands with a team of 15 medical experts plus his wife and son beside him, not forgetting a specially built medical suite in his Swiss mansion, courtesy of Corinna, his wife.

Schumacher, the senior was recently discharged from a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne to return home with his family. The updates on his condition at this time were particularly sparse though the fans were uplifted by the words of Ferrari boss Jean Todt. He claimed the general assumption was Schumacher would lead a relatively normal life again within a relatively short period of time. The only bad side was "We can say he can probably never drive a Formula 1 car again. But he is fighting," according to Todt. He explained that his condition improved generally and what is important is the fact that he is now at home with his family.
