Apple will take the curtain off from its latest announcements and releases at an event in California at the Company Hall Room Auditorium. The event will take place on October 16. Apple homepage will broadcast the event live. Big names like iPad Mini 3, OS X Yosemite, iOS 8.1 and iPad Air 2 are waiting to roll on that day.

Fans might count on for iPad Air 2 but the release date might be delayed a bit after the announcement on October 16. From previous Apple records, the iPad Air makes its appearance just after a week of announcement. Therefore, this time the announcement might be on Thursday but fans will probably get the product available in the markets from next Friday 24^th October.

Apple iPad Air will be powered by Apple's latest A8 processor that has made its debut on the legendary iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus smartphones. The RAM slot will be occupied with 2GB of available RAM. Different storage option will be available as usual with different models. 32/64/128GB internal storage model will be available at different price.

The camera segment will be assisted with 8MP rear facing camera. The 12.9-inch display size tablet will provide stunning 3072 x 2305 pixels resolution with Retina HD display. The dimension drops 0.5mm thin than the previous iPad Air and the new thickness states as 7mm. A speaker will be introduced with redesigned volume button but the mute switch will be missing with the new model.

It is rumored that the new version of iOS named iOS 8.1 will also be released at the event. This firmware update will unlock many features and bug fixes. The long rumored multitasking feature with split screens might come with the update. The iPad Air 2 is expected to provide better performance with the iOS 8.1 the upgraded version of iOS 8. Rumors indicate that the new upgrade will let devices perform bit faster and smoother.
