For a while now, there is a wide spreading Captain America 3 rumor saying that Robert Downey Jr. is to be part of the third installment of the franchise. This later on had been confirmed by various reliable sources. As of now, the actor is currently on final negotiations to play the billionaire Tony Starks for this movie set to be on production this coming May 2016. Downey being on Captain America 3 will guarantee the actor $40M plus backend participation as well as additional payout should it outperforms Captain America 2.

Returning as a member of the Captain America 3 cast and lead star of the show is Chris Evans as Captain America. According to Toronto Sun, this deal is very vital to Captain America 3 plot as Marvel considers the possibility of Stark against Captain America's alter-ego Steve Rogers. If so, the Captain America 3 movie will have the two feuding over superhero registration act which forces all those with supernatural abilities to have their identities revealed to US government and act as its special police force.

As for Captain America 3 villain, Frank Grillo is expected to reprise his role as Crossbones.
