Skillet Releases New Music Video, "Hero" Goes Platinum

Skillet continues their rock star success in 2014 with a new music video for their latest hit song "Not Gonna Die". The band debuted the new footage via www.newreleasetuesday.com. The website voted the band as the Best Rock/Alternative Artist or Group of 2013. Loudwire nominated the band's last album RISE for Best Rock Album of 2013.
The new video for "Not Gonna Die" was directed by Joey Papa and produced by ex-Skillet guitarist Ben Kasica (Skies Fall Madia Group). The video, which reflects the band's moody, eerie sound was premiered exclusively for the Skillet fan group, the Panheads, before being launched on Loudwire and NewReleaseTuesday. Along with a new music video, Skillet is celebrating their second RIAA Certified Platinum song with their hit "Hero" off the album Awake. "Monster" was the band's first platinum single. "Whispers in the Dark" from Comatose earned RIAA Gold Certification.
You can catch Skillet on tour with co-headliners The Roadshow ad Third Day on 20 more dates through spring. To find out more info about the tour and Skillet news check out the band's official website at www.skillet.com.
