Android 5.0: Discover the Advance Face Unlock Feature Capability
Android 5.0: Discover the Advance Face Unlock Feature Capability
Apple may have engineered its fingerprint scanner perfectly with Touch ID technology, yet Google might just have a powerful security feature hidden inside its latest Android 5.0 Lollipop to combat Apple's. Techno Buffalo said that an improved version of the face unlock technology of Android might convince you to use the feature rather than the typical passcode.
The new feature is called Trusted Face, which offers an improved version of the previous Face Unlock technology that was first introduced with Android 4.0. While the previous feature took so long to be convenient and can be tricked through using a photograph of the owner of the device, Trusted Face could finally get rid of the Android passcode.
As soon as the users wake up their phones, the camera will begin searching for your face while a face-shaped icon will let users know if it matches or not. Once it matched, the lockscreen will automatically prompt you to unlock and swipe the device. If it can't read your face, you are always free to use the regular passcode.
According to Android Police, the advance face unlock feature capability of Android 5.0 is much faster compared to its last update. There are also additional upgrades on this feature.
International Business Times reported that even if the Trusted Face is not yet tested, it still sounds like a new level of unlock experience, which could be one of the best features of Android. Many tech savvy individuals were amazed when Apple released Touch ID as it allows users to scan their fingerprint automatically to use the phone. Today, Android may provide a magical experience through the Trusted Face feature.
As of now, Android users are still waiting for the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. If the Trusted Face works perfectly for everyone, this could be a great security feature offered by Google this year and might surpass the magnificent Touch ID technology of Apple. However, is it really more secure than a pattern or passcode? Is Trusted Face much more convenient than any other security features available? Find out more about this feature when Android 5.0 was released.
