Nine Inch Nails & Soundgarden 2014 Summer Tour Across America, See Dates Here (VIDEO)

Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails will be co-headlining a 23 date Summer U.S. Tour they have officially announced (you can see the dates below). The tour will kick off in Las Vegas on July 19 before finally winding up at the Hollywood Bowl on August 25. As a surprise opening act, they will be bringing out experimental Sacramento hip-hop group Death Grips to open up the show. 

In the video you can see announcing the tour above, Cornell shared about his thoughts looking back on the early 90's music scene. He reveals, "On the outside looking in...I think Soundgarden made the best records out of that scene (Seattle area grunge scene). I think we were the most daring and experimental and genre pushing, and I'm really proud of it."

Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden both took the rock world by storm in the 1990's and have an interesting history together, since both bands released key albums on the same day in 1994. March 8 saw the release of both Nine Inch Nails' second LP 'The Downward Spiral' and Soundgarden's fourth album 'Superunknown'. So with this year being the 20th anniversary of both albums, it seems like a fitting tour to make happen. However, there have been riffs between the bands in years past. 

Reznor brought Nine Inch Nails  back this year with the new album Hesitation Marks and a tour to follow. Soundgarden will release a 20th anniversary reissue of Superunknown on June 3. The band got back together after years of absence to release the new album, 2012's King Animal.
