iPhone 5S : Apple Conquers Again With The iPhone 5S Being The Best Selling Phone

Over the years Apple have proved to be one of the very best when it comes to their devices. Now it does not come as a shock that their iPhone 5S is one of the bestselling phones in the market. As they get ready to release the next generation smartphone, its current version of iPhone 5S continues to make waves in the market being one of the most sort out phone.

According to a survey by Counterpoint which is a market research company, the iPhone 5S has sold over 7 million units in May hence making it the bestselling smartphone in the world. Samsung came in second with its Galaxy S5 which sold 5 million units. 

Counterpoint got this figures after they did a survey by using culled sales data from major retailers and distributors across 35 countries.

However, with the iPhone 5S getting best sales the iPhone 5C has dropped off. Counterpoint says that the company's lower cost smartphone saw fewer sales in May than Samsung's older Galaxy the S4 and Galaxy Note 3. While the Galaxy S5 appeared to be doing very well the month it was released, sales have also slowed down since then. There was a 24% decline of the new phone on the block.

Apart from Apple and Samsung another company that did well on the world smartphone market was Chinese company Xiaomi with two of its smart phone making the top 10 on Counterpoint's list which are the M13 and Hongmi.

According to the survey made by Counterpoint in May most of the top 10 companies smartphones were phablets. Survey results show that the public thinks that if Apple comes up with a new larger smartphone it would do very well in the market. A web source said, "If Apple comes out with a phablet later this year it will instantly become a hit and top the list of phablets within two months of availability." Let's wait and see if Apple will push its boarders into phablet territory.
