Vince Gill & Daughter Pay Tribute to Amy Grant After Her Bike Accident

Vince Gill assures fans that his wife Amy Grant is fine after she had been hospitalized following a bicycle accident late last month. Grant stated that she was riding her bicycle with a friend when she fell. An ambulance transferred the singer to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where she received treatment for cuts and abrasions, but did not sustain any major injuries.
"My bride Amy is doing fine," Gill told the Ryman audience on Thursday night (Aug. 4), according to CMT. "She had a bicycle wreck last Wednesday over in Percy Warner Park, and thank God she was wearing her helmet. She was knocked unconscious for 10 or 15 minutes."
During opening night of his Ryman residency, Vince Gill and their daughter Corrina Grant Gill performed the song "When My Amy Prays" as a tribute to Amy. "Last night Vince performed his second concert of a four night residency at the Ryman. He informed the crowd that Amy was getting better every day after a bike crash last week that left her unconscious for about 10 minutes and with a concussion (along with various cuts and bruises)," the post read. "He then introduced their daughter Corrina who performed a song in honor of her mom.... Show stopper moment."
Their daughter changed a lyric in the chorus to "When my mama prays.""We're going to do this song I wrote for my wife Amy," Gill said on stage before their performance.
"We haven't been doing it much, but because of her accident and everything she's been going through we've been thinking a lot about her," he continued. "I thought how sweet it would be for her youngest to sing this song I wrote for her."
