Final Fantasy 15 Still No Official Release Date From Square Enix, Confirmed that Final Fantasy 15 will run only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Final Fantasy 15 is still in development since may 2006 when it was first announced by game publisher Square Enix. Until now, it apparently still is. There is no official Final Fantasy 15 release date yet, although according to Examiner, Final Fantasy 15, along with Kingdom Hearts 3 and Murdered: Soul Suspect, were scheduled by Square Enix for European release "sometime in 2014."
At this year's June Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, Final Fantasy 15 was not taken up but Square Enix did manage to announce that Final Fantasy TYPE-0 will soon be available on Next Gen Platforms including the Xbox One as well as Final Fantasy AGITO which will be released on iOS and Android devices. In an interview he did with Kotaku, Square Enix producer Hajime Tabata clarified the difference between Final Fantasy Type-O and Final Fantasy 15. Said he, "Type-0 is a war-themed game, so it's kind of like a war movie in a sense. Whereas XV is a road trip kind of movie and adventure that focuses on brotherhood."
Final Fantasy 15 is an RPG single player video game based on a Fabula Nova Crytallis mythology storyline involving main protagonist Noctis Lucis Caelum and his interaction with the other Final Fantasy 15 characters like Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Stupeo Scientia, Prompto Argentum, Cor Leonis, and Stella Nox Fleuret. It is set in a world similar to modern-day Earth, but where countries had been locked in a long and protracted cold war over possession and control of crystals. Square Enix has already confirmed that Final Fantasy 15 will run only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so there is no likelihood that there will be a Final Fantasy 15 PS3 nor a Final Fantasy 15 PC version to expect in the future.
Aside from news and updates regularly posted on the Final Fantasy 15 Wiki, fans can watch the latest Final Fantasy 15 movie and Final Fantasy 15 trailer at the game publisher's own Japanese-language Square Enix website.
